Pay It Forward

Just finished watching a dope special on Cory Joesph. Much respect and salute to his grind! It got me thinking about doing a better job of having a bigger impact in my community.

It’s crazy but I vividly remember when I was in 4th grade and the High School Basketball players down the block came and visited my class. Man I was so GEEEKED!! lol I thought it was awesome and I told myself that can be me one day. Fast forward to my senior year in high school, and it was. I made sure to always visit the kids at my old high school when I was in college, playing one year of professional basketball, and even now when I come home for vacations.

Giving back is a great feeling. Giving back doesn’t necessarily means giving back money. Giving back can be you spending time or supporting kids in your community by using social media for more than lurking, putting posts about how cool you are, pictures at the nice clubs, or selfies with your body parts out.

You never know what a simple conversation in person or encouragement via social media can do for a kid in your community.

The kids are our future. If we teach them the proper way to show love and Give Back, hopefully they’ll do same and Pay it Forward.

One Love,
