Worrying about the next person is not going to get you anywhere fast in life. All it does is add confusion and stress. I wish at times I can be like certain people in life who have it all together (Ex. beautiful/healthy family, great job, fun social life).
At the end of the day, I can only be me but once I start worrying about what the next person is doing I forget about what I got going on and my purpose in Life. Instead, I’m worrying about how can I be more like that individual. By doing that I’m wasting time and energy trying to become something I’m not. It leaves me mentally, emotionally, and physically drained.
The way I see it, I can use that energy of worrying about other people’s situations towards getting better at my craft. By doing this, I will be better off and will have a better peace of mind. It’s cool to be competitive but when competition turns into worrying then there’s a problem.
One of my good friends told me the other day, “Don’t worry about the next man, focus on being the Next Man.”
